Montcalm School is a nonprofit, therapeutic boarding and day school offering practical solutions for the families of struggling girls, ages 12-21, and boys, ages 12-28. Here’s what makes us different.
We rely on the principles of Starr Commonwealth, a nearly 100-year-old organization founded on a radical truth: There’s no such thing as a bad child. Montcalm has been providing education and therapeutic care to children from all over the world since 2000.
A strength-based approach
We believe that every child has strengths. Those strengths may be hidden behind oppositional behaviors. They may be hidden inside the child. But at Montcalm, we look for what’s possible, not for what’s wrong.
Our strength-based approach and positive therapeutic practices have earned us an international reputation for bringing out the best in every child.
We offer education opportunities for both boys, ages 12-28, and girls, ages 12-21.
